The architect farmer and his stone monuments in Castelnuovo Cilento – Guerino Galzerano (1922-2002). Of humble origins, Guerino Galzerano worked for years as a farmer and laborer in Cilento; after the marriage, he emigrated to Germany as a laborer. For a serious act of violence in the 70s is imprisoned in the psychiatric records of Aversa in outdoor spaces and produced his first works. Back in Castelnuovo Cilento, first covering the inner and outer walls of your home, providing countless small rounded stones next to each other, forming a striking monochrome mosaic. Using the same technique, which told that he had learned in Germany, produces impressive constructions made ​​by arches, arcades, columns, sculptures of agricultural tools, numerous tables and chairs. He worked for twenty-five years using a huge amount of pebbles and marble chips. The works are divided into four sites: the house on Via Roma, the garden adjacent to the medieval castle, the village of Santa Caterina and the monumental tomb in the cemetery. Today, the creations of Galzerano themselves in an alarming state of disrepair: some buildings in the village are unfortunately collapsed.
